Alchemy

This was a drawing that just decided to pop out of my head onto the paper a few days ago. The piece started out as the skull with a diamond in its mouth, inspired by the devils eye diamond from the Disney rescuers which was my favorite part and probably the reason i am a bit magpie-esq and love shiny things now

The piece then developed to include a variety of poisonous but beautiful flowers, from Lilly of the valley, angel trumpet, daphne, hemlock, nightshade and and other pretty but poisonous plant i could think of. Then to tie in with he apparent macabre and nature theme i added a snake and a poison arrow frog
deadly beauty may have to be a concept i explore more often in my artworks as i had a lot of fun creating this piece, from researching to drawing this drawing just deemed to develop so natural and effortless for a change
